Bub’s Burgers is proud to announce it will host Dave Dugan at it’s Carmel location on Friday February 24 at 10pm.

Tickets are available beginning Monday February 20th at Bub’s Burgers and Ice Cream located at 210 W Main Street for $10 a ticket.  The kitchen will close at 9:45pm, so come early to order dinner!  Beer, wine, soft drinks and FREE popcorn available during the show.

A Little Bit about Dave Dugan

Performing at conferences / company events AND theaters and clubs all over the country, Dave’s ability to adapt to each audience has made him a highly sought after comedian. His first national exposure was on the then ratings-leading Arsenio Hall Show. A regular at the world famous Comedy Store in Hollywood, he also has appeared numerous times on HBO, COMEDY CENTRAL and VH-1.  Dave is a long time contributor to the BOB AND TOM SHOW… over two decades of contributions to what has become arguably the most popular show on radio, heard in over 150 markets nationwide. Dugan has made nearly 200 appearances on the show.

This is Indiana goes to Bub’s Burgers in Bloomington to see whether an IU Swimmer or an IU Football player will be the first to finish two Big Ugly Burgers.

Believe it or not someone else has conquered four Big Ugly’s. This Man of Men came into our Carmel location on Saturday June 18th and dined for 6 hours. His name was (I mean is…) Kenneth White. Just a reminder that is 4 lbs of meat, 2 lbs of bread not to mention the roughage on top. And to add to it all he had two kids scoops of ice cream in between each burger. Really…was that necessary? We are proud of Kenneth and hope to see him again. The first person to conquer 4 Big Ugly’s is Stephen Sulimro from Indonesia in Bloomington. We have received emails from people training to eat 5, we challenge you to conquer these two eating champions. I feel confident to speak for Stephen and Kenneth… BRING IT ON! Good Luck…

Bub’s Burgers and Ice Cream™ was established in May of 2003 in Carmel, Indiana.  We had been thinking of a concept for a family restaurant with an emphasis on quality food and a fun atmosphere for several years.  When we found the right location along the Monon Trail, we knew it was meant to be!  With a lot of family guidance and moral support, Bub’s™ was born!

“Bub” is a family nickname for Matt and his brother-in-law Chuck who was a guiding factor in the motivation for us to create our concept.  The name ended up fitting perfect with the Big Ugly Burger™ theme and what was a family nickname has now caught on with employees and regular customers.  “Bub” can usually be found visiting tables most days of the week!

As the name states, burgers are our specialty.  Our burgers are made from fresh, hand pattied ground chuck and our buns are custom made to fit our burgers and baked fresh daily at a local bakery.  We can’t emphasize quality, value and service enough.  All of our burgers are after cooked weight giving the customer the most value possible.  We offer a simple menu but we make sure all ingredients, products and service levels are the best we can create.

While we consider ourselves a burger place, other menu items that have attracted quite a following are the grilled Mahi Mahi, Elk Burgers, Chicken sandwich and our Bub Dogs.  Our ice cream shop is also a popular stop on the Monon Trail and the source for the ice cream in our tasty hand-dipped shakes.  Indianapolis artist Mike Brown painted the colorful farm-scene murals found throughout.

Because of our loyal following and customer support at our original store in Carmel, Indiana a second Bub’s Burgers and Ice Cream™ was established in August of 2010 in Bloomington, Indiana.  We were honored to receive Bloomington awards for Best New Restaurant 2010 (Indiana Daily Student Newspaper) and Best Burger 2011(Herald Times Newspaper)!!

Bub’s just isn’t a restaurant… it’s an experience.  To our surprise we have sold over 42,000 Big Uglies and now customers are eating three!  Believe it or not, two have eaten FOUR!  Review our website for pictures and details of Man v Food and the young men who ate four.
